Doctor Who in an Exciting Adventure with the Daleks, also called Doctor Who and the Dead Planet, was a book from the Doctor Who series. During the War in Heaven, it was also known by the redacted title Doctor ? in an Exciting Adventure with the Enemy.

History[edit | edit source]

After Iris Wildthyme gave the Eighth Doctor an old, yellowed paperback edition, he claimed that it contradicted a book written by Terrance Dicks. (PROSE: Bafflement and Devotion)

During War in Heaven, the book was illicitly shared by young Time Lord inductees on Gallifrey. As proper names were auto-edited out of all messages for war security purposes, the title was redicted to Doctor ? in an Exciting Adventure With the Enemy. One of Ostrev's earliest post-Loom memories was of sharing a downloaded underground copy of book with a gang of other inductees. (PROSE: The Taking of Planet 5)

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

In the story In Search of Doctor X, another in-universe analogue to Doctor Who in an Exciting Adventure with the Daleks is seen, Doctor X in an Amazing Adventure in Space.
