Additional notes[]

  • As was common in previous editions, the Doctor is referred to throughout as "Dr Who".
  • This was the only Annual published by World Distributors to credit the actress playing the Doctor’s assistant/companion: specifically, Caroline John as Liz Shaw.
  • The cover and internal illustrations were by Ron Smethurst (Production Manager at World Distributors).
  • A PDF of the entire Doctor Who Annual 1971 was included as a bonus feature on Disc 2 of the DVD set for Inferno.
  • In part because of a reduced print-run, “the Pink Pertwee” remains among the rarest and most valuable of the World Distributors Ltd publications.
