- The BBC Exploitation Department cease the policeman's police box as another TARDIS that was operating without BBC licencing and give him a maximum fine.

- Ironically, the BBC did register the police box as a trademark in 1996. The Metropolitan Police Service filed a notice of opposition in 1998 but the case was closed in favour of the BBC in 2002.[1]
