The Seventh Doctor rallies his enemies to his side after receiving some negative press attention.

The Doctor reads The Sun. It claims that a Scottish element is taking over the programme.
The Dalek, Cyberman and Yeti all agree with the Doctor. The Dalek wears a tam o' shanter, the Cyberman wears a kilt and the Yeti plays the bagpipes.
Jamie thinks "it's about time" this all happened.

This story marks the first appearance of Jamie McCrimmon in the Doctor Who? series.
This story overplays Sylvester McCoy's Scottish accent for comedic effect.
In keeping with the punchline of this story, the Commenting Dalek also wears a kilt for its duration.
