The Doctor claims that the question of whether Susan was really his granddaughter has been one of the most puzzling discrepancies in the whole Who mythos.
As Time Lords get younger with each regeneration, and Susan is a lot younger than the Doctor, that makes their relationship grandmother to grandson. Dr. Who reflects that this must mean his Susan is his great-grandmother.
Susan uses a wheelchair.

This story marks the first appearance of Susan Foreman in the Doctor Who? series.
This story also marks the first appearance of the Commenting Dalek in the stories of Tim Quinn and Dicky Howett. He later went on to make regular cameos in all facets of their Doctor Who work.
