Devil's Hump was the name given to a mound in a field outside of Devil's End. Its significance only became clear in the 1970s when Professor Gilbert Horner uncovered the Devil's Hump. This was done live on television as part of The Passing Parade for BBC3. The Devil's Hump was (when examined by the Third Doctor) the remains of a Dæmon ship, specifically Azal's. (TV: The Dæmons)

The investigate journalist James Stevens and his girlfriend Dodo Chaplet, a former companion of the First Doctor, watched the opening of Devil's Hump on The Passing Parade. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)
