Deedrix was the leader of the Savants, the Tigellan scientists who wanted to study the Dodecahedron.

In 1980, Deedrix headed the Savants in their arguments with the Deons, a religious order. The Deons forbade them from entering the power room where the Dodecahedron was kept. This angered Deedrix and the Savants who did not believe in the Deon god.

When the Deons staged a revolution, Deedrix was taken prisoner. However, a Gaztak attack meant that the Deons were needed to defend and so he was released. He helped save the Fourth Doctor moments before he was sacrificed.

Together with Caris, Deedrix joined the Doctor, Romana II, and K9 in the Doctor's TARDIS. They travelled to Zolfa-Thura. The Doctor headed off to seek out Meglos, leaving them with the TARDIS.

The Doctor was captured and Deedrix helped in the rescue. They left moments before Zolfa-Thura was destroyed as the Dodecahedron backfired. The Doctor then returned him to Tigella. (TV: Meglos)
