Later, on 27 March, Lt David Judd responded to Staff Sergeant A. Frederick's query about how footage of Operation Mannequin would be removed from the internet, expaining that most of the footage had been identified, so "standard interference patterns" had been placed on all retransmissions of the of the footage online, and a bandwidth squeeze had been placed on any attempted downloads of the footage. On 28 June 2006, in the wake of the crash of an alien craft into the River Thames, Lt Judd agreed with Corporal J Frinkstein that there was nothing useful to be recovered the craft — nor where there any "proper telecommunications".
