Dalek Invasion - Salford 1987 was a two-page spalsh-panel parodical comic story in Tim Quinn and Dicky Howett's The Doctor Who Fun Book. With a title referencing Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D., it joined another comic in the book (Dalek Invasion of Ealing 1987) in deriving its comedy from humanity not taking the Daleks' invasion of their home very seriously.

Summary[]

A Dalek stalks the streets of Salford. Unfortunately for it, it bears a faint resemblance to a rubbish bin, and this is exactly what a passing housekeeper thinks it is.

Characters[]

  • Dalek
  • Housekeeper

References[]

  • The Dalek casing can be opened in half by stepping on the pedal.
  • An empty box of cornflakes is among the items of rubbish with which the oblivious woman ends up filling the casing.
