Crying

Crying was a discharge of tears brought upon by moments of intense emotions.

After the 22nd century Dalek invasion was thwarted, Susan Foreman cried as she debated whether staying with the First Doctor or David Campbell. (TV: The Dalek Invasion of Earth [+]Terry Nation, Doctor Who season 2 (BBC1, 1964).)

Rose Tyler cried after the Ninth Doctor regenerated, feeling abandoned. (TV: The Christmas Invasion [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who Christmas special (BBC One, 2005).)

After they had been separated during the Battle of Canary Wharf, the Tenth Doctor and Rose cried at their circumstance. (TV: Doomsday [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who series 2 (BBC One, 2006).) The Eleventh Doctor wept when he learned that Amy Pond and Rory Williams always saved a place for him at their Christmas dinner. At the end of the Siege of Trenzalore, Clara Oswald lightly cried when the Eleventh Doctor regenerated. She later cried when the Twelfth Doctor had withheld the truth about the Moon creature and forced her into what she thought was an impossible decision. In an alternate timeline in 1963 in which music had been largely drained from the Earth by Maestro, John Lennon claimed to simply want to have tea and go home to bed with a woman of his own, but woke up crying. (TV: The Devil's Chord [+]Doctor Who (BBC One and Disney+, 2024).)
