History[]
When Vorg served in the Lurman army, his sergeant was a Crustacoid mercenary. (TV: Carnival of Monsters [+]Robert Holmes, Doctor Who season 10 (BBC1, 1973).)
The Doctor once encountered Vorg trying to sell Crustacoid pornography to the unicellular life forms of Van Madden's Star. (PROSE: The Taking of Planet 5 [+]Simon Bucher-Jones and Mark Clapham, BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures (BBC Books, 1999).)
Dr Mehendri Solon used the claw of a Crustacoid that had crashed on Karn for the body he created for Morbius. (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Brain of Morbius [+]Terrance Dicks, adapted from The Brain of Morbius, Target novelisations (Target Books, 1977).)
A group of Crustacoids, believing they had a divine right to rule, attempted to conquer the universe. The Time Lords incarcerated them in a prison in the 1930s Sussex countryside which resembled an English manor house and was guarded by robots. They made the Crustacoids believe that they were still fighting the war, that the prison was a fortress and the guards their servants. Eventually, the prisoners all killed each other.
In 1933, some time later, the Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Zoe Heriot arrived at the house, where they were attacked by the robots. The Doctor escaped and, with the help of Lucas Seyton, freed his friends. (PROSE: Fallen Angel [+]Andy Lane, Decalog (Virgin Decalogs, 1994).)
