Conrad's World was a reality constructed by the Rani and Conrad Clark using the power of Desidirium to release Omega. In the future of this reality, Earth and humanity were destroyed on 24 May 2025 by Omega following his release.

History[]

Creating Conrad's World[]

With the help of Conrad Clark and Desidirium, two different incarnations of the Rani sought to release Omega, the first Time Lord, from his prison in the Underverse. The Rani abducted Desidirium from 1865 and used Conrad to construct this world with a wish. (TV: Wish World [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who series 15 (BBC One and Disney+, 2025).)

However, rather than creating a violent world, (TV: The Reality War [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who series 15 (BBC One and Disney+, 2025).) Conrad recalled how the Fifteenth Doctor had told him that people just wanted to be safe and fed and warm (TV: Lucky Day [+]Pete McTighe, Doctor Who series 15 (BBC One and Disney+, 2025).) and used that as the basis of his reality as well as giving everyone a family. However, people like Rose Noble were erased from existence as Conrad couldn't imagine a transgender and non-binary person due to his prejudice. Because Conrad couldn't imagine everything, he used the people living in his world to fill the gaps. Everyone half-remembered their real selves while living Conrad's version of an ordinary life, "all crushed and stifled and appalling." (TV: The Reality War [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who series 15 (BBC One and Disney+, 2025).)

Releasing Omega[]

After reality was ripped open by the Fifteenth Doctor's doubts about the world created by the Rani, Conrad and Desidirium, the Earth disintegrated in purple fire with the planet's structures falling into space (TV: Wish World [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who series 15 (BBC One and Disney+, 2025).) before the day reset to 7:00am on 23 May 2025 as the Rani needed the same day to keep repeating itself so that it would get thinner and thinner before finally snapping, allowing the Rani to see underneath the skin of reality and find Omega.

The Doctor was pulled into the Time Hotel by former companion Anita Benn who helped him to restore reality for UNIT by opening doors of real time into UNIT Tower. This also restored Rose Noble who had been erased from existence in this world as Conrad could never imagine someone like her. The Rani teleported to UNIT Tower where she explained that her purpose was to use Omega as a gene bank to rebirth the Time Lords as the genetic explosion caused by the Spy Master had left the survivors of the race sterile. However, well aware of the danger that Omega posed, the Doctor refused to help the Rani.

The Doctor had Susan Triad construct a Zero Room to protect Belinda and Poppy from the effects of reality returning to normal while sending Ruby Sunday using the Indigo Device to stop Conrad and bring his wish to an end while the Doctor used the Rani's hover vehicle to fly into the Bone Palace and disable the Threshold protecting it while UNIT battled the Bone Beasts.

The Rani convinced the Doctor to allow them to release Omega who emerged as a demonic beast, having been transformed by the Underverse into his own legend as the Mad God, a Titan and the Original Sin of the Time Lords. Omega consumed the bi-generated Rani while Mrs Flood escaped using a Time Ring. With the Time Lord confirming his intention to consume Earth, the Doctor blasted him with the Vindicator's power, forcing Omega back into the Underverse. (TV: The Reality War [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who series 15 (BBC One and Disney+, 2025).)

Restoring Reality[]

At the same time, Ruby confronted Conrad, but was unable to talk him down. Instead, Ruby retrieved Desidirium and used his power to wish Conrad to be happy and then to end the wish. Conrad's World collapsed, revealing that his room in the Bone Palace was actually the Doctor's TARDIS in disguise, and restoring the proper reality. The Doctor then used Desidirum's power to bring an end to the power of wishes. Having been protected by a Zero Room, Poppy survived the end of Conrad's World which had brought her into being in the first place. As he didn't know where in time and space Desidirium was from, the Doctor gave him to Carla Sunday to raise who renamed the baby Joseph Sunday.

However, Poppy vanished soon afterwards with only Ruby noticing. In order to ensure his and Belinda's first meeting, the Doctor threw Belinda's star certificate into space to be retrieved by the robots from Missbelindachandra One who had originally retrieved it from the ruins of Earth after it was destroyed by Omega.

The trio then returned to UNIT in time to witness the day finally changing over to 24 May 2025. UNIT determined that the return to reality from Conrad's World wasn't perfect as reality had shifted on a massive scale, creating tiny changes such as the border between Norway and Sweden moving seven miles east, the colour teal being "a bit more blue" and Ernest Borgnine still being alive. Melanie Bush discovered that as a result of Ruby's wish, Conrad was now the chief cook and bottle washer at a restaurant in Lewisham with no one remembering the old Conrad, including Conrad himself.

Ruby was able to convince everyone of Poppy's existence and the Doctor agreed to bring her back, explaining that reality had shifted by one degree and that there was only one thing strong enough in the universe that could shift it back. Despite the Thirteenth Doctor's efforts to dissuade him, the Doctor triggered his regeneration into the Sixteenth Doctor and then punched the Time Vortex with a ton of regeneration energy, jolting time one degree. As a result, Poppy was now the daughter of Belinda and Ritchie Akingbola, but Belinda's memories of what happened in Conrad's World were limited.
