Chris Waites and the Carrollers were a band in the early 1960s. They recorded "Christmas Caroline". (PROSE: Time and Relative [+]Kim Newman, Telos Doctor Who novellas (Telos Publishing, 2001).)

In July 1963, a weathered billboard on the roof of EMI Recording Studios advertised the band. (TV: The Devil's Chord)

Later in November, Ian Chesterton noted Chris Waites and the Carrollers was the start of the career of Aubrey Waites, who would go on to lead in John Smith and the Common Men, a popular band that would be beaten in the top charts only by the Beatles.
