Chipping Norton was the location of a railway station relatively near the village of Moreton Harwood.
Brendan Richards called Sarah Jane Smith from a telephone box at the station. Sarah then picked him up from the station, meeting him in-person for the first time (TV: A Girl's Best Friend).

- In reality, the railway station at Chipping Norton was closed in 1962[1], 19 years before the filming and setting of A Girl's Best Friend.
- The scenes were filmed in the village of Miserden, Gloucestershire. Residential building and sound effects were used to imply the nearby station.
