Four taking aim

The Fourth Doctor looks along the barrel of Litefoot's fowling gun. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang)

A Chinese fowling gun was a firearm. George Litefoot owned one, which he said was primarily used for killing ducks, though it hadn't been fired in the fifty years preceding 1889. In that year, the Fourth Doctor asked Litefoot for an elephant gun and he offered the fowling gun as an alternative. Seeing that it was made in Birmingham, the Doctor accepted it. He used the gun to kill a giant rat in the London sewers when it attacked Leela. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang)
