Chenchu was the manager of the way-station at Tun-Huang during the late 13th century.
In 1289, Chenchu told the First Doctor how to get to the Cave of Five Hundred Eyes. When Tegana found out, he yelled at Chenchu. He told Marco Polo that Tegana had gone to the cave when asked and was the one to find that the Doctor was not in his room during the search for Barbara Wright. (TV: Marco Polo, PROSE: Marco Polo)
