Charlotte Elkins

Charlotte Elkins lived in Virginia during the American Civil War. While her husband Samuel was fighting in the war, her home was attacked by Lucius Casler and several other deserters. After her father was killed by Earl Baker, she shot and killed Baker. When the Fifth Doctor and Turlough arrived to help her, she didn't trust them and shot Turlough in the leg. The Doctor used his TARDIS to retrieve Samuel from battle, and once the deserters were defeated, he let Charlotte and Samuel spend Christmas together before bringing Samuel back to the battle, in which he was killed.
