Charlie Higson (born 3 July 1958[1]) wrote the Puffin eshort The Beast of Babylon. He also read the audiobook version of the story.
In 2011 he wrote the introduction to the BBC Books reprinted edition of Doctor Who and the Crusaders. He also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.
Career[]
Higson is perhaps best known for writing and starring in The Fast Show (alongside Mark Williams and Arabella Weir), and as the author of the Young Bond and Enemy young adult series of books.
From 2000 to 2001 he was the Head Writer and Executive Producer of Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased), a reboot of the 60s show of the same name, which featured Tom Baker in a recurring role. The show pulled from a large staple of British actors and comedians who would go on to appear in the revived series and its spin-offs, including Susan Brown, David Walliams, Janet Henfrey, Matt Lucas, Mark Gatiss, Derek Jacobi, and Reece Shearsmith, among others.
