Machete Charlie was the leader of a gang which was west of Coal Hill School.
Basil Bailey obtained cocaine from Machete Charlie on credit and tried to force Sam Jones to take some so she would be hooked on it. They chased her to Foreman's Yard, where they encountered the Eighth Doctor. The gang attacked the Doctor, who quickly knocked them down. They fled and the police found the drugs when they arrested the Doctor. Baz feared Charlie's retribution if he was not paid, so he plotted to retrieve the drugs, but his plan failed and he and his gang were arrested. (PROSE: The Eight Doctors)
