Century was a cards game that could be played for money between two individuals. Count Lugosti, a gambler and assassin in the 2060s, was an expert at the game. When trying to bait him into the open, Penelope Creighton-Ward posed as an amateur, challenged him to a game, and then beat him thoroughly. As she had hoped, this prompted Lugosti to try to steal his money back, which occasion she used to extract a confession out of him about the murder of the 610th Kaplan.
