Thread:139802 cautions against exactly this category. Subcategories should be moved to parent cat Stories by featured characters, so as not to encourage category creation for each and every Doctor Who companion. Companion status is not enough to merit these sorts of categories -- if a character does merit one, it's actually due to their status as a series lead.
