A filming location is a site outside a formal studio where filming occurs. Sometimes during the history of Doctor Who the studio buildings themselves have been filming locations. By and large though filming locations are ordinary, everyday places like office buildings, power plants, schools, churches, and the like which have been chosen to represent a certain location in a script.
