Comic colourists are those people who have been credited formally as colourists on comic strip/comic book work. Technically, all the artists who worked on early colour strips, such as those in TV Comic were their own colourists, but as this work was painted, they are generally thought of as "comic artists", to indicate that they both drew and coloured their own work.
