History[]

After her launch in 1887, (PROSE: Enthusiastic Amateur Diver Shares His Discoveries With You! The Elysium was once photographed by the Manchester Ship Canal Co. unloading her cargo at the Salford Quays. (PROSE: The Elysium [+]North West Historical Society (Punchdrunk and BBC, 2011).) Before her crash on 17 July 1888, the Elysium's cargo included: valuable metals, such as over £1000 worth of gold ingots, and industrial machine parts for the cotton trade. However, a website in the 2010s claimed that there was confidential cargo being transported under government warrant as well, perhaps some sort of angelic statue on board, though this was denied by officials. In the 2010s, diver Daryl Christofi obtained some of the salvage rights to the Elysium, with his focus being on the gold (PROSE: Enthusiastic Amateur Diver Shares His Discoveries With You! [+]Daryl the Diver (Punchdrunk and BBC, 2011).) which he intended to use to fund more diving trips. (PROSE: Daryl Christofi [+]Daryl the Diver (Punchdrunk and BBC, 2011).)

In anticipation of an evacuation of Bowie Base One, Steffi Ehrlich asked Mia Bennett to strip the cargo down to essentials. (TV: The Waters of Mars [+]Russell T Davies and Phil Ford, Doctor Who Autumn Special 2009 (BBC One, 2009).)
