Cardiff Town Hall was the seat of the Cardiff government in the 21st century, and the location of the Lord Mayor's office.
Blon Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen, under the guise of Margaret Blaine, Lord Mayor in 2006, announced the Blaidd Drwg project in this building. When the Ninth Doctor, Rose Tyler, Jack Harkness and Mickey Smith arrived to catch Blon, they each covered one of the town hall's four entrances, and ultimately caught her trying to escape out her office window. The Glamorgan Building of Cardiff University was used to film scenes in Cardiff Town Hall. The real Cardiff City Hall has been used for location shooting in many episodes of BBC Wales Doctor Who.
