Captain Scarlet in Death Crash! was a cover story printed in Action 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe. Framed as the front page of an in-universe periodical, the titular article made reference to the Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons crossover comic We Will Destroy Unity City.
Summary[]
Eyewitnesses watch as a jet piloted by Captain Scarlet makes a "deliberate" turn into one of Spectrum's own fleet of Angel aircraft, causing a mid-air collision and leaving no chance of survivors. Meanwhile, contrary to the advice of Spectrum, the World President returns to the world capital of Unity City in the aftermath of the Mysteron threat. He accuses the Mysterons of provoking the conflict between Earth and Astran forces while also calling for calm.
Elsewhere, Thunderbird 1 is dispatched by International Rescue as part of an effort to save two men who are trapped in a blazing Canadian forest. With the fire proving too tough for Canada's emergency services, Pete Tracker reports that the only question which remains is whether International Rescue can get there on time.
Finally, Marineville goes to Battle Stations following the mysterious disappearance of Stingray. Commander Sam Shore refuses to comment on reports of a "vast, pulsating shape" spotted in close proximity to Stingray's last known position.
