Cappuccino

Cappuccino was a type of coffee that both Thomas Bruce and John Neuberger were convinced was "very bad for you". (PROSE: The Devil Goblins from Neptune) Jason Kane, though, certainly did not think so, and even had a preferred variety of the drink. (PROSE: Sex Secrets of the Robot Replicants)

Such beverages were usually topped with "stiff, white foam" covered in grated chocolate. (PROSE: Cat's Cradle: Warhead, Return of the Living Dad) Sam Jones was sure she'd gain a foam mustache by the end of her drink. (PROSE: Revolution Man) Agatha Ellis thought cappuccinos a thing only in movies, and was surprised when one was ordered before her "in the real world". When she had one as well, she described the coffee as "simmering beneath a layer of creamy-white froth" with "a light skin of dark brown chocolate sprinkled onto the foam." (PROSE: Curtain Call)

Some coffee machines made instant cappuccinos. (PROSE: The Quantum Archangel) Butler Institute's New York office had one, which Stephanie used to made herself a rather sophisticated cappuccino. (PROSE: Cat's Cradle: Warhead) Agatha Ellis bought a machine after falling in love with the drink. (PROSE: Curtain Call)

Rachel Lane would travel far and wide with her husband — as far as the Tanadata Clusterjust to find the best synthetic poached eggs and cappuccino. She later ordered the type of coffee while the Seventh Doctor had tea. (PROSE: Policy to Invade) The owner of an Internet café offered the Eighth Doctor and Benny Summerfield both unlimited Internet access and a free cappuccino if Benny gave herself to him. (PROSE: The Dying Days)

Stephanie made herself a cappuccino while hacking into the Butler Institute's computer system. (PROSE: Cat's Cradle: Warhead)

Cappuccinos and the Doctor

A favoured drink of the Fifth Doctor's was a double-caffeinated cappuccino with sprinkled organic nutmeg. (PROSE: Not So Much a Programme, More a Way of Life)

The Seventh Doctor once managed to make himself and Dr Julia Mannheim two cappuccinos "with only a battered saucepan, an egg whisk and sterilised milk." He warned, though, that she'd have to do without the powdered chocolate. (PROSE: Bad Therapy)

In 21st century London the Eleventh Doctor ordered a cappuccino for himself and Clara Oswald. (TV: The Bells of Saint John)
