COBRA was a terrorist organisation and arms-dealing network.

History[]

In 1983, a six-nation crackdown on COBRA's activies in Western Europe was organised by UNIT. Concurrently with this, Sarah Jane Smith, a few years into her retirement from active UNIT service, wrote a series of articles covering the events, which did a lot to restore her readers' faith in her after her career had taken a backseat for so many years to her adventures with UNIT and Dr John Smith. Behind the scenes[]

  • The organisation Cobra (not reckoned to be an acronym for anything in the source material) originates in the non-Doctor Who-related G.I. Joe sci-fi franchise.
