Bullion Train was a short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe. Framed as the front page of an in-universe periodical, the titular article instead made reference to the Lady Penelope content in the issue with a smaller piece tying-in to the Fireball XL5 comic story The Giant Ant Invasion, a part of a multi-series crossover with the DWU.

  • Strict security measures were enforced at Strasbourg Station as the final bars of gold were loaded aboard the thousand million pound bullion train. The gold is bound for the Frankfurt Institute of Isotopic Research and is to pay for six thousand special isotopes destined for disease hit cattle areas of Siberia, Texas and India.
  • The train is a 400 m.p.h twin shoed monotrain and is operated by an automatic computer robot. The Isotope Flyer, as it has been called, will speed non-stop between the two cities. Its armour-plated glass and high-heated nickeloid stressed steel sides ensure complete protection against any hold-up attempt.
  • Doctor Slanisva of the World Health Organization told TV 21's reporter that the isotopes are urgently needed in Texas, where the Venusian cattle disease Green Hoof is rapidly destroying the great beef herds of the Texas plains.
  • Troy Tempest has gone missing after investigating a ghost galleon. Commander Shore and Phones are said to be taking action.
  • A swarm of three-foot locusts have dived on to the Arabian Peninsular 9,000 square mile forest and stripped the trees bare. The forest cost eleven billion pounds to plant and fertilise but is now a complete loss.
