Bryn was the leader of a group of colonists who decided to remain on their ship while the others colonised new worlds.
Bryn told each member of his community the truth at the age of 18 and gave them the choice of whether to leave and go to Basla 19 or stay on the ship with their family.
Bryn once met the Eighth Doctor and Charley and drank cider with them. After the Doctor became inquisitive, Bryn told the Doctor and Charley the truth about the ship. (PROSE: A Good Life)
