Bruce Forsyth Talk

You may be looking for his real world counterpart.

Sir Bruce Forsyth was an accomplished British actor and television presenter during the 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 52nd centuries.

Biography[]

Bruce was a well known celebrity by at least the 1960s. (AUDIO: The Final Act [+]Justin Richards, Jago & Litefoot (Big Finish Productions, 2013).)

He once won the competition Who's got the biggest chin in comics?, beating, among others, Captain Britain and Desperate Dan. (COMIC: The Totally Stonking, Surprisingly Educational And Utterly Mindboggling Comic Relief Comic [+]Dan Abnett, et al., Fleetway Publications (1991).)

Forsyth's life and career continued right across the 21st century and into the start of the 22nd. The Eleventh Doctor accidentally brought Dermot O'Leary to the year 2111, where O'Leary was amazed to find Forsyth still alive and working at the BBC while not looking any older. (TV: Dermot and the Doctor [+]Steven Moffat, ITV1 (2011).)

By the 52nd century, (TV: The Pandorica Opens [+]Steven Moffat, Doctor Who series 5 (BBC One, 2010).) Dorium Maldovar could not resist "a bit of Brucie" upon mentioning he watched Strictly, implying he was still performing. (PROSE: Dorium Maldovar Tells It Like It Is! [+]Unknown, My Monster Day (Immediate Media Company, 2011).)

References[]

In 1968, the Palace Theatre had an act by Eric and Ernie in which Forsyth was impersonated. (AUDIO: The Final Act [+]Justin Richards, Jago & Litefoot (Big Finish Productions, 2013).)

Fragmentary historical records of the year 4000 erroneously stated that Forsyth was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 1977. (AUDIO: The Foe from the Future [+]Robert Banks Stewart and John Dorney, The Fourth Doctor Box Set (The Lost Stories, Big Finish Productions, 2012).)

Forsyth was even famous in alternate and fictional universes; Professor X, fully aware of his status as a fictional character, said that he felt like he was "caught between Basil Brush and Bruce Forsyth." (PROSE: No Future [+]Paul Cornell, Virgin New Adventures (Virgin Books, 1994).)

Behind the scenes[]

  • Dermot and the Doctor's claim that Forsyth was still alive and working by 2111 is a reference to the star's longevity. Of course, inevitably, Forsyth passed away in 2017. Forsyth's life in the 22nd century has never been contradicted in any other source.

Information from invalid sources[]

Forsyth danced with Michael McIntyre while singing alongside other guests at a Christmas party. (TV: Consider Yourself One Of Us...)
