British Library

The British Library was a London library.

History[]

In 1st century Byzantium, Barbara Wright made a mental note to herself that next time wanted to go "exploring the annals of history" she should stick to the British Library, quietly praising the lack of backstabbing in the reading rooms. (PROSE: Byzantium!)

Sometime prior to 2005, Derek Cook met the Ninth Doctor in the Cosmology Section of the British Library, skim-reading "definitive" works on the creation of the universe, laughing, tutting, and scribbling in the margins. The Doctor quickly left after a Librarian asked the Doctor for identification.

Undated events[]

It was located near Arthur Bayer's home. Bayer once came to the Reading Room of the library to get away from Iris Wildthyme, but Iris disguised herself as a librarian and got to him anyways. (AUDIO: Looking for a Friend)

References[]

The Eighth Doctor said that the escape shuttle that he, Liv Chenka and Helen Sinclair were stuck in had access to what was practically the British Library. (AUDIO: Ship in a Bottle)
