"British-Zulu war" is a title based upon conjecture.

British-Zulu war

A war between the British Empire and the Zulu was fought in 1879 in South Africa. By December 1879, British soldiers could be expected to return back to Britain after "giving the Zulu what for". (COMIC: The Weeping Angels of Mons)

Behind the scenes[]

In the real world, this conflict is called the "Anglo-Zulu War". However, the limited information provided in the story does not support this designation. In particular, the discussion of the war takes place in Scotland with two soldiers who are easily identifiable as Scottish, and one of the combatants is referred to as the "Empire", meaning the British Empire. In the real world, the term "Anglo-" was often applied to the whole empire at the time, but it is not used in the comic story.
