Captain Brent was a soldier in the British Army and the father of John Brent. He believed in the Novosibirsk Project.
Captain Brent wanted his son to follow in his footsteps, and so put John in the ROTC. On 1 April 1963, when Captain Brent came to Coal Hill School to pick up his son, his driver was attacked by the Cold. Brent was unable to understand or accept what was happening, and retreated into a state of shock. He stayed the night in the school buildings with John, Gillian Roberts and Susan Foreman.
The next day, he accompanied the three youngsters as they attempted to reach Susan's grandfather in Totters Lane. When they were attacked by Cold Knights, Captain Brent sacrificed himself to save Gillian. (PROSE: Time and Relative)
