Boulevard Saint-Germain was a Paris street located near the Left Bank. According to Iris Wildthyme, the boulevard smelled like "Gauloises, Chanel, existentialism, and garlic".

In the early 1950s, Iris Wildthyme and Dodie Golightly visited the boulevard and ate at several cafes, including the Café Flore. (PROSE: The Ninnies on Putney Common)
