Gosbrunnur School was an all-girls' boarding school in Reykjavik. In the 1975-76 term, it was attended by Kyla and Sarah, and Therese Gunnar was an English teacher. Its library included Tales from Moominvalley and books by H. G. Wells and Daphne du Maurier. It became infamous across Iceland after Kyla, having picked up the ambionic stabiliser from Jefred's crashed ship, accidentally blew up the chemistry lab. Sarah went into shock and lost her eyebrows.
