Kaston Iago's past included a number of adventures with his crew members and their leader, including freeing slaves at a monopasium 239 mine, (AUDIO: Metafiction) killing the Butcher of Zircaster, (AUDIO: Taren Capel) blowing up a number of things, and accidentally causing an intergalactic genocide. They were ultimately killed on Gauda Prime with the exception of Iago, who escaped by shooting the lights out. (AUDIO: Metafiction)

In the show Blake's 7, each season included seven main crew members of the ship Liberator.[1] One of the two members present in every crew list was Kerr Avon, who was hinted to be Kaston Iago's true identity throughout the Kaldor City series.
