Two Black Dalek Leaders stand to attention before the Emperor. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)

After the original Black Dalek, (PROSE: The Evil of the Daleks) who was known as the Black Dalek Leader, (COMIC: Plague of Death) was lost during the Time Destructor Incident, the Dalek Prime had many other Black Daleks created to fill the void. This went as far (PROSE: The Evil of the Daleks) as a rank of plural Black Dalek Leaders. During the Dalek Civil War against the Second Doctor's Humanised Daleks, the panicking Dalek Emperor called for "all Black Dalek Leaders" to converge on Control and to "exterminate all opposition" and destroy the "rebels!". (TV: The Evil of the Daleks) The casings of these Leaders were identical to the original Black Dalek during the Daleks' master plan. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)
