Bermondsey

Bermondsey was a district of London. It was located in the London Borough of Southwark. (TV: The Lie of the Land, Revenge of the Slitheen[1])

History[]

Jenny Flint visited Bermondsey in the 1890s while investigating the cause of an implosion on Villiers Street. (AUDIO: Dining with Death)

Robbie Flint claimed that he was the best safe cracker in Bermondsey in the 1930s. (AUDIO: Criss-Cross)

During the Blitz, Bermondsey was heavily hit and was still being rebuilt in the 1960s. Heinrich Schumann conducted his matter transmission experiments in an abandoned factory in Bermondsey. (AUDIO: Threshold)

The Dusk Casino was located on the banks of the Thames in Bermondsey. The Sixth Doctor visited the casino in November 2001. (AUDIO: Project: Twilight)

Bermondsey was seen on a map of London used during the Monk invasion of the late 2010s. (TV: The Lie of the Land)

Footnotes[]

  1. London Map RotS

The location of City and Southwark on Mr Smith's map. (TV: Revenge of the Slitheen)

The map in The Lie of the Land shows Bermondsey as being just east, but across the River Thames, from the City of London. When viewed in conjunction with the map of London boroughs seen in Revenge of the Slitheen, this would definitively place Bermondsey in London Borough of Southwark.
