A bath was a method of cleansing, typically consisting of a basin which would be filled with warm water and sometimes bubbles. (PROSE: Sick Building) It also described the vessel; the bath in which bathing was engaged in.

In 19th century Killingworth the Rani ran a bathhouse as cover for her experiments in the extraction of sleep chemicals. (TV: The Mark of the Rani [+]Pip & Jane Baker, Doctor Who season 22 (BBC1, 1985).

According to the Fourth Doctor "eureka" is Greek for 'this bath is too hot'. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang [+]Robert Holmes, Doctor Who season 14 (BBC1, 1977).)
