Barbara Smith (née Wilson), the mother of Sarah Jane Smith and adoptive grandmother of Luke Smith. She and her husband Eddie Smith died on 18th August 1951, the day of the Foxgrove village fete when they drove off in their car, leaving their three-month-old baby behind in the pram.
Sarah Jane and her son Luke travelled from 2009 to meet him and Sarah Jane decided to save him by deactivating his car so he would not be able to escape. However, while this change in and of itself had no major effect on the timeline, meddling with history near an unstable rift in time caused the rift to open, allowing the Trickster to fully materialise on Earth and conquer the world.
