Bagpuss & Co. was a shop which was located in Greendale; it was home to Bagpuss, its apparent namesake, as well as several mice - Charlie, Jenny, Janey, Lizzy, Eddie and Willy Mouse.
History[]
The shop was located in Greendale when a young boy visited during one of Postman Pat's rounds. Pat gave the boy a parcel to deliver to Bagpuss & Co., with the boy remarking that "Bagpuss lives here". After entering, Bagpuss stretched and let out a yawn. At this point, the various mice in the room were also present. (TV: Future Generations [+]Children in Need (BBC1, 1998).)
Behind the scenes[]
Bagpuss & Co. is the main setting of the television series Bagpuss. It is not usually said to be located in Greendale; it was presumably located there in Future Generations to allow a smooth transition between series.
