The BBC 100, also known as the BBC Centenary, was the 100th Anniversary of the British Broadcasting Corporation on 18 October 2022. The BBC was founded on 18 October 1922. The event itself would be celebrated across a week from 22 October to 29 October 2022.

15 Seconds of Fame

15 Seconds of Fame

As a way of celebrating the centenary, the BBC offered fans of the various shows, including Doctor Who, the chance of a lifetime, offering them via a 15 Seconds of Fame programme the chance to sign up for an appearance in an episode of their respective shows as a background figure. [27]

The opportunities included:
Registration closed on Friday 4 November 2022 and all applicants had to be aged 18.
