BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, is an organisation that bestows awards for excellence in British film and television. In 2006, Doctor Who won a BAFTA award for Best Drama Series. Additionally, many people associated with Doctor Who and its spin-offs have won or been nominated for BAFTA awards, including Mary Wimbush, Ken Ledsham, Richard Stokes, and Andy Goddard.
A small mini-episode of Doctor Who, later released online as BAFTA in the TARDIS, was included in the 2013 awards.
