Assassination of Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth on 14 April 1865 in Ford's Theatre in Washington DC.

Only a few days earlier, on 9 April, the Fifth Doctor saved Lincoln from an assassination attempt in Richmond, Virginia. The would-be assassin was Aaron Eddowes. (PROSE: Blood and Hope)

On 14 April, the Sixth Doctor and Evelyn Smythe would become embroiled in a plot to prevent Lincoln from being assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. (AUDIO: Assassin in the Limelight) Conversely, the Eighth Doctor would later tell his companion Charley Pollard that he once attempted to convince Lincoln not to go to the theatre. (AUDIO: Minuet in Hell)

Berenyi, a Renegade Time Lord and mercenary who was hired by wealthy clients to alter time, was recognised for her work on "an assassination in a theatre in 1865", which had attracted the attention of a German from the 22nd century, who hired her to go to 1963 and design the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. (PROSE: Untitled).

The assassination of Abraham Lincoln was offered as a special family package deal to visitors of the Time Hotel via its time portals, along with that of John F. Kennedy. (TV: Joy to the World [+]Steven Moffat, Doctor Who Christmas Special 2024 (BBC One and Disney+, 2024).)
