An illustration of the ram that represented Aries. (PROSE: Introduction and links)

Aries was a constellation visible from Earth and a sign of the Zodiac.

Aries had a confusing past, as the Romans believed the "ram" to be a manifestation of the Egyptian god Ammon, while the Ancient Greeks thought it represented the golden ram that lent its fleece to legend. Kasterborus believed it simply ascended to the Firmament. (PROSE: Introduction and links)

In 1746, in Inverness, the Second Doctor mentioned it while pretending to use astrologic criteria as a physician. (TV: The Highlanders)

In 2009, the "Children of Aries" were the ninth to be brought under the control of the Ancient Lights when Martin Trueman invoked the sign into his circle. Among the Children of Aries was Rani Chandra. Aries followed Pisces and preceded Taurus. (TV: Secrets of the Stars)

Dan Lewis was an Aries. (TV: Welcome to the TARDIS...)

The Fifteenth Doctor pointed out Aries to Rogue as one of his favorite constellations. (PROSE: Rogue)
