Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway was the wife of William Shakespeare. (PROSE: The Stranger, The Writer, His Wife and the Mixed Metaphor)

The pair married in 1582 and went on to have three children; Susanna was born shortly after they married, with twins Judith and Hamnet born in 1585. (PROSE: A History of Humankind)

When Shakespeare was flirting with Martha Jones in 1599, she told him that she knew he had a wife in the country. (TV: The Shakespeare Code)
