Some versions of the Doctor wore ankle boots.

The Second Doctor wore ankle boots. (TV: The Power of the Daleks-The War Games, The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors) His successor, the Third Doctor, briefly wore them after his forced regeneration. (TV: Spearhead from Space)

The Sixth Doctor wore forest green ankle boots. (TV: The Twin Dilemma onward) His successor, the Seventh Doctor, wore them before switching them for white and brown spectator shoes. (TV: Time and the Rani)
