Andor was a slave aboard the spaceship of the Krattorian Kest, as well as the uncle of Sala.
Biography[]
In February 2065, when Kest's ship landed on Skaro his slaves were sent out onto its surface to collect sand. However, Kest's ship's instruments soon ran into difficulties due to the magnetic properties of the sand, which was actually a defensive measure of the hidden Dalek City. Andor subsequently overheard Sala and Astolith discussing the prospect of a rebellion in light of this distraction. He betrayed them and went directly to Kest with this information, who ordered Andor to bring Sala to him for questioning. When Sala proved elusive Andor identified Astolith as a rebel and had him detained instead, an act for which Astolith denounced him as a traitor and punched him in the face.
Later, after Sala, Astolith and Kest left the ship for the mountains in order to meet with the Daleks, the Daleks, who had betrayed Sala, massacred the remaining Krattorians and imprisoned the other slaves for future use. Andor was able to evade capture for a time by hiding in the hydrogestion chamber of the Dalek City, bringing with him papers containing the details of space flight. When he was found he was brought before the Golden Emperor, who confirmed that the details were their missing links. However, while this meeting was ongoing, Sala and Astolith had gained access back into Kest's ship, freed their fellow slaves and prepared for immediate take-off. Andor realised what was happening too late and he and Kest both clawed at the ship's doors as it began its ascent, desperately begging not to be left behind. A Dalek subsequently confirmed to the Emperor that Kest and Andor had died. He responded that the matter was of no consequence as the affair had given them knowledge of space flight and therefore the means to conquer other planets and ultimately rule the Universe.
