- An invalid reference to Alpha Centauri occurs in a Doctor Who mini-scene broadcast in 2009 during the talent show Tonight's the Night, in which Jack Harkness states he once went to a party there.
- In the story of Doctor Who: Legacy, the Eighth Doctor mentions humanity spreading to Alpha Centauri.
- According to The Monster Vault, Alpha Centaurans developed skills in politics due to their home planet not having any natural predators, being able to focus on politeness.
